WoW: Forever is adding another major quality-of-life feature to its built-in interface with the introduction of the Cooldown Manager. The feature is now available for testing in the beta and gives players a customizable way to monitor important abilities, buffs, and cooldowns directly through the game's interface.
The Cooldown Manager is currently being tested with a limited selection of classes, with additional classes expected to become available during future beta updates.
What Is the WoW: Forever Cooldown Manager?
The Cooldown Manager is designed to bring important combat information into a dedicated, customizable part of the user interface.
Rather than relying exclusively on the standard action bars or buff area, the system can display tracked abilities in a more visible location. This can make it easier to recognize when an important spell or ability becomes available again.
For players who regularly participate in dungeons, PvP, or other challenging content, being able to monitor important cooldowns can make combat information easier to follow.
The feature is optional and disabled by default during the current beta implementation.

Which Classes Can Test the Cooldown Manager?
The current beta build allows players to test the Cooldown Manager with five classes:
Druid
Mage
Priest
Warrior
Warlock
Blizzard has indicated that additional classes will become available for testing in future updates.
Because WoW: Forever is still in beta, players should expect the system to change as feedback is collected and additional classes and abilities are added.
How to Enable the Cooldown Manager
The Cooldown Manager can be enabled through the game's settings.
Open the game options and navigate to the advanced options. From there, enable the Cooldown Manager. Once active, the tracked abilities can be repositioned through Edit Mode. Players can also use the /cdm command to configure which spells are displayed.
This gives players control over where the information appears on their screen instead of forcing everyone to use the same interface layout.

Cooldown Manager and WoW: Forever Combat
The biggest advantage of the system is visibility.
Many classes have abilities that need to be used at specific moments. Knowing when an important cooldown is ready can influence how a player approaches an encounter, a PvP engagement, or a difficult dungeon pull.
A dedicated cooldown display can reduce the need to constantly look between multiple areas of the interface.
This is particularly relevant for players preparing for endgame content. WoW: Forever is expected to include challenging dungeons, raids, PvP, and other activities where understanding your character's abilities will become increasingly important.

Spell Ranks Are Still Being Worked On
The current Cooldown Manager implementation has one notable limitation: it does not yet fully support spell ranks. Blizzard has stated that this is planned to be addressed in a future beta update.
This is an important distinction because WoW: Forever uses a classic-style progression system where spell ranks can matter.
As the beta progresses, this system will likely receive additional testing and adjustments. Players can also provide feedback about which abilities should be tracked by default.
