WoW Housing Guide – Founder's Point & Razorwind Shores
WoW Housing Guide: Founder's Point & Razorwind Shores
At misti.services, we’re all about making your World of Warcraft experience smoother. This guide breaks down how the new housing neighborhoods work, how to claim and move your home, and what systems like Endeavors and Neighborhood Favor actually do for you.
How Housing Neighborhoods Work
Player houses live inside special housing neighborhoods – instanced zones that act as social hubs. There is one Alliance-themed neighborhood and one Horde-themed neighborhood.
- Each neighborhood instance has 50 housing plots.
- Once an instance is full, a new instance of that same neighborhood automatically opens, so there’s always room for more players.
The two main neighborhoods are:
- Founder's Point – Alliance-themed neighborhood
- Razorwind Shores – Horde-themed neighborhood
Both offer multiple biomes and visual themes so you can pick a vibe you actually like, not just “whatever is free.”
Every neighborhood also has a central town hub, where you’ll find:
- Decor vendors
- Housing upgrade NPCs
- Dye trainers
- Portals to Stormwind / Orgrimmar
How to Claim a House
To start building your first home, you’ll need to complete a short housing intro quest:
- Enter your chosen neighborhood.
- The intro quest will automatically appear in your Quest Log.
- Open your map and you’ll see icons for available plots.
- Some plots might already be taken, so pick an available one, fly or ride there, and interact with the sign in front of the plot to purchase it.
After you buy and step into your new home, you’ll unlock a Decor Tutorial that walks you through the basics of placing and customizing items.
Moving Your House
Not a fan of your current neighbors or view? You’re not stuck.
You can pack up your house and move it to another plot or even another neighborhood:
- Interact with the sign in front of your house to begin the moving process.
- You keep your house and decor, you only pay the gold cost of the new plot.
- Unpacking the house in a new location is done in just a few clicks.
This lets you test different biomes or join friends without rebuilding everything from scratch.
Neighborhood Types
There are two main types of neighborhoods in WoW housing:
- Public Neighborhoods
- Private Neighborhoods (Guild Neighborhoods & Charter Neighborhoods)
Public Neighborhoods
Public Neighborhoods are open to anyone on your server:
- Up to 50 players share a single public neighborhood instance.
- Instances are created automatically as needed, so there’s always room for more players to grab plots.
These are perfect if you just want to claim a house and meet random neighbors without worrying about guild or invite requirements.
Guild Neighborhoods
Guild Neighborhoods are private housing instances tied to your guild:
- Your guild must have at least 10 active members in the last 30 days.
- Once that requirement is met, a guild Officer can talk to a housing steward NPC to create your guild’s housing instance.
- If your guild has more than 50 members, multiple 50-slot instances can link together so everyone can still get a plot.
Important note:
- If a player leaves the guild, they lose their plot in that guild neighborhood, because the plot is directly tied to guild membership.
Charter Neighborhoods
Charter Neighborhoods are private, invite-only housing neighborhoods that aren’t tied to guilds:
- A charter owner/leader creates the neighborhood and can invite players from any guild or faction.
- Up to 50 players can share one charter neighborhood instance.
- The charter leader can remove players at any time if needed.
These are great for friend groups, communities, or cross-guild alliances that want to live together in one space.
Ownership Limits
To keep housing meaningful and not just endless plot hoarding, there are limits per account:
- Each WoW account can own up to 2 houses total:
- One in Founder's Point
- One in Razorwind Shores
Both homes are Warband-wide, which means:
- All your characters share those houses.
- Decorations you earn are account-wide, so your whole Warband can enjoy the same unlocked decor options.
Even though the neighborhoods have faction-specific themes, housing is built with full cross-faction support in mind.
Alliance Neighborhood: Founder's Point
Founder's Point is the Alliance-themed neighborhood.
Its biomes are inspired by classic Eastern Kingdoms zones, mixing several iconic looks:
- Peaceful fields and forests reminiscent of Elwynn Forest
- Golden farmlands like Westfall
- Rocky, mountainous areas similar to Redridge Mountains
- Dark, eerie corners inspired by Duskwood
This neighborhood is perfect if you love that classic Alliance fantasy and want your home to match the feel of older zones.
Horde Neighborhood: Razorwind Shores
Razorwind Shores is the Horde-themed housing neighborhood, located off the coast of Durotar.
Its biomes take visual cues from:
- Harsh, rugged terrain echoing the Barrens
- Red cliffs and jagged landforms inspired by Azshara
- Lush tropical beaches similar to Echo Isles, with palm trees and shoreline views
If you’re a Horde enjoyer who loves rugged outposts and coastal setups, this is your playground.
Neighborhood Endeavors
Endeavors are monthly neighborhood-wide activities designed to bring players together:
- Each month, a new Endeavor theme becomes available.
- Endeavors introduce players to different factions and cultures across Azeroth.
- In private neighborhoods, players can pick from a list of Endeavors (though sometimes one will auto-activate based on in-game events).
- In public neighborhoods, the game randomly selects which Endeavors are active.
As your neighborhood completes Endeavor tasks:
- More NPCs matching that theme appear in your hub.
- These NPCs bring themed decorations that both members and visitors can use or purchase.
If your neighborhood is small or not very active, the system scales down the number of tasks required so progress still feels achievable.
Endeavor Tasks
Endeavor tasks cover all types of gameplay so everyone can contribute, no matter how they play:
- Crafting
- Gathering
- Completing dungeons
- Running raids
When you complete Endeavor tasks, you earn:
- XP
- A special Endeavor currency
- Neighborhood Favor
You can use:
- Neighborhood Favor to level up your house and unlock rewards.
- The Endeavor currency to buy themed decorations from visiting NPCs in any neighborhood, not just your own.
Neighborhood Favor and Progression
Neighborhood Favor is basically a Renown system for each neighborhood instance:
- Completing neighborhood activities increases your Neighborhood Favor level.
- Higher Favor levels unlock powerful, shared upgrades for everyone in that instance.
Examples of neighborhood-wide perks:
- A higher decor item limit inside every house, so all members can place more decorations.
- Other quality-of-life bonuses that make your neighborhood feel more alive and more customizable.
Everyone living in that neighborhood benefits together, which encourages cooperation and community play.
Cross-Faction Housing
Even though the neighborhoods are visually themed for Alliance or Horde, housing itself is cross-faction friendly:
- Once you complete the housing intro quest on one faction, your alts on the opposite faction automatically gain access to the second neighborhood.
- Your Warband can mix and match characters from both Horde and Alliance while still enjoying both housing zones.
So whether you’re a faction loyalist or you play both sides, your housing system stays connected and accessible.
If you ever need help gearing, running dungeons or raids, or farming resources to support your housing progression, misti.services can handle the grind while you focus on designing the perfect home.
