Zul'jarra's Forces Reputation Guide

Zul'jarra's Forces is the main Renown reputation tied to Patch 12.1, Curse of Ula'tek, in World of Warcraft Midnight. The reputation is closely connected to The Coiled Isle, with most of the activities used to increase your Renown taking place in and around the zone.

Every Renown level requires 2,500 reputation, and progress is account-wide. There are quite a few ways to build the reputation, from daily and weekly activities to rare enemies, quests, treasures and other one-time discoveries around The Coiled Isle.

The reward track is also worth working through. Along the way you can unlock profession recipes, profession knowledge, cosmetics, housing and decor items, transmog, mounts, a companion pet, a toy, currency and a Champion track bracer.

This guide covers the reputation sources, reputation buffs, the Zul'jarra's Forces quartermaster location and the complete Renown reward track.

Zul'jarra's Forces Reputation Buffs

Before you start farming reputation, it is worth checking whether there is an active event that increases reputation gains.

Several events and consumables can make the grind considerably faster.

World Quest Bonus Event

The World Quest Bonus Event provides a 50% reputation bonus from World Quests.

If this event is active, it is a good time to prioritize the available World Quests on The Coiled Isle.

Winds of Mysterious Fortune

Winds of Mysterious Fortune increases all reputation gains by 50%.

This is one of the strongest reputation bonuses available, so it is worth taking advantage of while the event is active.

Hallow's End

During Hallow's End, Alliance players can receive the Unburdened buff, while Horde players can receive Grim Visage.

Both buffs provide a 10% reputation bonus.

World of Warcraft Anniversary Event

The WoW Anniversary Event provides a 10% reputation bonus while the event is active.

Contract: Zul'jarra's Forces

You can also use a Contract: Zul'jarra's Forces.

Depending on the contract, completing World Quests can provide an additional 10 or 15 reputation with Zul'jarra's Forces.

The contract can be purchased or crafted through the profession system.

One-Time Zul'jarra's Forces Reputation Sources

Not all reputation has to be farmed through repeatable activities.

The Coiled Isle has a number of one-time reputation sources, including campaign quests, side quests, treasures, lore objects and rare enemies.

These are especially useful when you are starting the reputation because they provide a large amount of progress without requiring you to repeat the same daily activities.

The Coiled Isle Main Campaign

The main campaign in The Coiled Isle provides a substantial amount of Zul'jarra's Forces reputation.

Completing the full campaign also unlocks the The Curse of Ula'tek achievement and opens up additional activities in the zone.

If you have not completed the campaign yet, this should be one of your first priorities.

The Coiled Isle Side Quests

There are additional side quests scattered throughout The Coiled Isle.

These quests provide a significant amount of reputation and are another good way to make progress early in the Renown track.

You can check your progress through the Snake Charmed, I'm Sure achievement to see which side stories you still need to complete.

Treasures of the Coiled Isle

There are 22 treasures scattered across The Coiled Isle.

Each treasure rewards 50 Zul'jarra's Forces reputation when discovered.

The treasures are marked on the minimap with a chest icon.

Student of Hissstory

There are 10 lore objects hidden throughout The Coiled Isle.

Each lore object awards 250 reputation with Zul'jarra's Forces.

They are marked on the minimap with a magnifying glass icon.

Finding all of them also contributes toward the Student of Hissstory achievement.

Rare Spawns

The Coiled Isle contains 12 rare enemies.

Each rare awards 50 Zul'jarra's Forces reputation when defeated.

Defeating all 12 contributes toward the Coiled to Strike achievement.

If you are already hunting rares for other reasons, it is worth clearing them as part of your reputation progression.

Weekly Zul'jarra's Forces Reputation

Once the one-time sources are finished, weekly activities become an important part of your regular reputation routine.

There are several weekly sources available across The Coiled Isle and the wider Midnight content.

Weekly Dungeon Quest

Halduron Brightwing in Silvermoon City offers a weekly dungeon quest.

After completing the required dungeon on any difficulty, you can receive 1,000 reputation with a faction of your choice.

Curse Surges

Curse Surges are a world event that rewards 50 Zul'jarra's Forces reputation when completed.

Turn Back The Surge

The weekly Spark quest Turn Back The Surge can be picked up from Talon Commander Zela.

Completing the quest awards 1,000 Zul'jarra's Forces reputation.

Purging the Vaults

The weekly quest Purging the Vaults can be picked up from Warlead Abdumati inside the Vaults of Atal'utek.

Completing the activity contributes additional weekly progress toward your Renown.

Bountiful Delves

Bountiful Delves are another weekly reputation source.

Completing a Bountiful Delve provides a large amount of reputation toward a Midnight Renown faction, although it is limited to once per week per faction.

Because of that restriction, you may need to complete more than one Bountiful Delve before the reward is assigned to Zul'jarra's Forces.

Lair: Nymrissa Wavecaller

The Lair: Nymrissa Wavecaller encounter also contributes to the reputation grind.

Defeating Nymrissa Wavecaller rewards 200 Zul'jarra's Forces reputation.

This makes the Lair worth adding to your weekly routine if you are already completing it for its other rewards.

Daily Zul'jarra's Forces Reputation

Daily activities provide a steady source of reputation after you have worked through the one-time content.

World Quests

World Quests rotate across The Coiled Isle.

Check the map each day for available World Quests that award Zul'jarra's Forces reputation.

If a reputation bonus event is active, these quests become even more valuable.

Vaults of Atal'utek Daily Quests

After completing Vaults of Atal'utek: Certain Doom, several NPCs begin offering daily quests inside the Vaults of Atal'utek.

Each of these daily quests awards 50 Zul'jarra's Forces reputation.

If you are trying to push through the Renown levels quickly, these are worth adding to your daily route.

Zul'jarra's Forces Quartermaster Location

The Zul'jarra's Forces Renown quartermaster is Jan'sari the Watchful.

She can be found at Tokka's Landing on The Coiled Isle.

Jan'sari is the NPC you need to visit when purchasing many of the rewards unlocked through the Renown track.

She is also important at Renown Level 9, where you can start the quest that awards your Champion track bracer.

Renown Level 9 Champion Track Bracers

One of the more useful rewards on the Zul'jarra's Forces track comes at Renown Level 9.

At this point, you can obtain a Champion track bracer appropriate for your character's armor type.

The available items are:

Once you reach Renown Level 9, speak with Jan'sari the Watchful and pick up the Spoils of the Vaults quest.

Completing the quest rewards the Champion track bracer for your armor type.

This can be a useful early upgrade for characters that are still building toward stronger Raid and Mythic+ gear.

Zul'jarra's Forces Renown Rewards

The Zul'jarra's Forces Renown track runs from Level 1 to Level 20. The rewards include gear, mounts, transmog, profession recipes, profession knowledge, decor, a companion pet, a toy, currency and several system unlocks.

The table below lists every reward and unlock from Renown Level 2 through Renown Level 20, including the purchase cost where applicable.

Renown 9 Bracer Rewards

The Champion track bracer at Renown 9 depends on your character's armor type. After reaching Renown 9, visit Jan'sari the Watchful and complete the Spoils of the Vaults quest.

Renown 10 Mount Requirement

The Spirit of Tok'jara is slightly different from the other mount rewards.

Reaching Renown 10 unlocks the ability to start the required daily quest chain. You then need to complete 6 daily quests before you can collect the mount.

So, reaching Renown 10 does not immediately put the Spirit of Tok'jara in your mount collection.

Biggest Collection Rewards

The reputation also contains several transmog rewards, including the Arsenal: Armaments of the Loa, the Shoulderguards of the Hash'ura, four different armor ensembles and the final Renown 20 weapons.

Best Way to Farm Zul'jarra's Forces Reputation

If your goal is to reach higher Renown as quickly as possible, start by clearing the reputation that cannot be repeated.

Complete the Coiled Isle campaign and side quests, collect the 22 treasures, find the 10 lore objects, and defeat the 12 rare spawns. These activities give you a large chunk of reputation without waiting for daily and weekly resets.

After that, build Zul'jarra's Forces into your normal weekly routine.

Complete the weekly dungeon quest, Turn Back The Surge, Purging the Vaults, your Bountiful Delve reputation reward and Lair: Nymrissa Wavecaller. Then pick up the available World Quests and Vaults of Atal'utek daily quests.

It is also worth keeping an eye on reputation events. A 50% reputation bonus can make a noticeable difference when you are trying to finish the higher Renown levels.

For collectors, the later levels are particularly interesting because the track eventually gives you multiple mounts, transmog sets, a companion pet, a toy and a title.

Is Zul'jarra's Forces Reputation Worth Farming?

For most Midnight players, there is a good reason to work through the reputation.

The track is not limited to cosmetic rewards. It also contains profession recipes, profession knowledge, currency, a Champion track bracer and several system unlocks.

Collectors have even more to chase, with the Spirit of Tok'jara, Indigo Coiled Horror and Violet-Backed Skyfang among the major mount rewards.

The reputation is also account-wide, which makes the time spent building Renown more useful if you regularly play multiple characters.

If you are starting the reputation from scratch, clearing the one-time sources first is the most straightforward approach. From there, add the weekly and daily activities to your regular Midnight routine and let the remaining Renown build over time.

Zul'jarra's Forces has a long reward track, but there is enough variety in the rewards that it does not feel like you are working toward the same type of item at every level.
